Once your free trial is over you will be asked to buy RanchHand which you will be able to do from the opening license screen indicating that the trial has ended. If you need extra time to evaluate RanchHand please contact us, and we will be happy to extend your trial.
Yes, the number of animals includes any animal record in the system. This includes Active, Inactive, or Reference animals. The RanchHand Premium edition allows an unlimited number of animals. The RanchHand Student edition allows a maximum of ten animals.
As part of your RanchHand purchase we will convert your data into a RanchHand dataset so that you can start right in with using the program and not waste time reentering data that you have spent years maintaining.Our support staff has multiple tools to convert your data from many other cattle management programs as well as spreadsheets. We will help you send your data to us so that we can convert it and send it back to you. This process takes less than a week and often takes less than a day or two.
Yes, the RanchHand Premium edition is the only edition currently available. This includes the RanchHand Student edition available to all active students.
The RanchHand Student Edition is available to any active 4H or FFA members as well high school or college students. Parent or guardian approval is required for students under 18 years of age. Transcripts will be required.

A RH+ membership is a monthly subscription that includes all software updates and much more. All editions include the first 12 months of membership for free.
No, it is not required. We are constantly working to improve and evolve RanchHand to our vision as well as making sure to keep it compatible with newest computers and latest operating systems. The membership does include:

All editions include the RH+ membership for 12 months after purchase. This membership includes all software updates for the year. Your RH+ membership may be extended yearly to include continual software updates. However, membership plans are not required, and the Premium Edition may be used forever with no additional purchase.
